Volunteer Opportunities

Help Needed Now

We have many ways people can contribute to the community. Here are some of the areas we are looking for help with

We need people to feed the chickens and collect their eggs daily. We are looking for volunteers who can commit to a day, or days of the week to do this.

1 hour per week to daily

The volunteer will ensure eggs are collected so that the community iwll get the benefit of the eggs produced by our hens. Daily collection ensures eggs dont go off, or get destroyed the the chickens so the community can enjoy fresh, organic eggs.

Opening the shed Signing up new members Supervising tool usage Tidy and clean Close up after session closes Provide support and training

4 hours per week

Currently there is only one shed supervisor so if he is sick, away or overly busy the shed may have to close. Having another supervisor to open the shed will allow us to increase its hours, have fail over if people are sick and will increase the support we can offer to members. We also have a number of programs where more than one supervisor would be beneficial improving safety and making the programs even better
